911 Coordinator

Directs the flow of information with all concerned parties in regards to 911 services. Responsible for updating and maintaining the 911 manuals, directives, State Radio Standard Operational Procedures and local operational plans. Responsible for ordering the county/township road/street signs as needed.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Hettinger County 911 Coordinator to assist with protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the residents of Hettinger County. The 911 Coordinator shall clearly define and strive to implement a uniform addressing system and street network for the assignment of street names and address numbers to structures with access from officially named public and private ways.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure that address and mapping data is updated in the emergency services communication system database and mapping system within thirty days of receipt of notice or request for change.
  • Provide for a complete annual review of the emergency services communication system land line database by obtaining current records from the appropriate telecommunications companies.
  • Maintain the law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical service response boundaries for the public safety answering point service area.
  • Ensure that the dispatch protocols for emergency service notifications are documented and communicated with all law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical services.
